Save KURIO as a web app to your iPhone or Android Home Screen (It looks just like a native
app!)
You can save a shortcut to the website on your phone’s Home Screen as a web app by following
these simple steps:
Turn on SMS Notifications to Be Alerted When Your KURIOs Receive Replies
First head over to My Account to enter your phone number so we know where to send your alerts.
Next, turn on the Receive SMS notifications feature when you create your KURIO. If you want to
turn this feature on after you have already posted your KURIO, you can turn it on by tapping the
red timer, opening the Edit tab from the drop-down menu and then turning on Receive SMS
notifications.
Activate Daily Digest Emails
Make sure the option to Receive Daily Digest emails is
turned on in the My Account tab. Once this feature is activated, you’ll receive an email
alerting you to pending notifications of the day’s activity in your KURIO Crowd. This
includes new Connection Requests, Archived KURIOs that have been shared with you, Public
KURIOs that have been posted to your Connections’ profiles and responses to your own KURIOs.
We promise not to spam you! You’ll only receive the digest email if you actually have
pending notifications.
If you use our App, we also collect the following
information:
Complete Your Profile and Add a Picture.
Make sure to complete your profile and add a fabulous picture of yourself! The
information you share on your profile will provide a helpful snapshot of who you are to new
KURIO Connections. While you aren’t required to include a picture, people like being able to
see who they are interacting with as it lends a sense of authenticity and a more personal
touch to the interactions.
Be Creative with Your Bio
You can be creative with your bio by using it to provide a bit of background about
yourself or as status update feature (i.e. Looking for a graphic designer / Interested in
transitioning from finance to fashion). You can also use your bio to announce exciting
milestones like product launches or professional transitions.
Post Public KURIOs
KURIO is all about the transparent sharing of information and opportunities. To that
end, we encourage you to post Public KURIOs so that participants on your KURIO thread can
all benefit from the information gathered and shared. Posting Public KURIOs also ensures
that all of your KURIO Connections will be notified of your post, thereby increasing the
chance you’ll receive the piece of information you need or the introduction you’re looking
for. Of course, if you are looking to change jobs or need advice on a sensitive topic, feel
free to post a Private KURIO which will be visible only to the KURIO Connections to whom you
send the post.
